Story from behind the lens: It was my last game drive in the Mara. The next morning we were meant to leave. Just as we were loading up in the car for our last game drive, I made a silent prayer in my heart hoping to get a shot of a lifetime. The game drive started off rather dull, with most of our time being spent with a pride of lions sleeping in the bushes not offering much of a good photographic moment.

We then started driving back to camp when I spotted a small herd of buffalos. I told our guide Kibe to stop the car so I could get some shots of the buffalos. I was focusing on one of the buffalos as it wagged its tail sending the oxpeckers on its back into flight mode. With its eyes closed, its almost as though this buffalo was praying for something too. Prayer Answered.
