Story from behind the lens: This mother jackal had two young puppies that she was taking care of, like any young mammals the puppies were full of energy and running all over the place. She was continuously chasing after them as they explored their environment, including spending several minutes probing this termite mound. As they headed off, she briefly mounted the termite mound and closed her eyes, as if catching a brief moment of rest before heading off again.
