Description: Intimate portrait of a lion cub

Story from behind the lens: We found the Enkoyanai pride lionesses & cubs late one afternoon & this lion cub was more alert than the others, most of which were sleeping. As the sun was setting the light was getting better & better so when this cub sat down, I put my extender on to my 400m lens so I could isolate the cub with no distractions & when he turned his head to look towards the light I was able to get this portrait. The framing is also enhanced by the fact that we were positioned slightly lower than where the cub was sat which helped get eye level to add more intimacy.
