Description: A lion cub nudges his way through the rib cage of a zebra carcass to join in on the feast

Story from behind the lens: We came upon this lion kill during late morning. The light was already harsh and there was dapple light on the pride as they feasted on this zebra kill nestled in vegetation under a tree. To minimize the distracting light and foliage of this scene, I switched to my 500 mm lens even though we were quite close. In doing so, I was able to remove most of the distractions and focus on some closeup action.
