Description: Hyena mum carrying her baby

Story from behind the lens: We came across this hyena mum running with her dead cub. I was in shock and couldn't even think to capture such an image! After I overcame the shock, I quickly started shooting after my guide encouraged me to take the shots. Was it that she gave birth to a dead cub? If you "look" carefully, it looks like she had just had her baby. However, many thoughts ran through my mind as to why her cub was all bloodied and indeed dead. It was a sad sight Indeed.
