Description: Lilac Breasted Roller with a Batterbys green snake
Story from behind the lens: The night before, we had a light rain making for a fresh morning with plenty of amazing birds buzzing around grabbing breakfast. After we had finished up our own breakfast, we drove next to one of the swamps and were crossing a culvert where right above us in a dead olive tree we witnessed this scene. A roller had caught a small green snake, and allowed us to watch as it slammed the snake multiple times on the branch before sending it down the hatch!
