Description: A herd of elephant head for the shelter of the trees to escape the storm
Story from behind the lens: Having just battened down the hatches on our car for protection from the storm, I spotted this small family following the rest of the herd for cover. With the seasons in the Mara becoming increasingly unpredictable this rain storm arrived from nowhere. The aggressive clouds, impending storm and dark shapes of the elephants were a harsh metaphor for the struggle we face to protect the worlds largest land mammal from extinction.
