Story from behind the lens: I saw this mom and baby who had just swam across the Mara River and were still wet from the swim. It is incredible how the calves walk within minutes and can keep up with the herd in a few days. The fact that this young one was able to navigate the dangerous river at such an age is remarkable, and a testament to their resilience !
