Description: Curious cub appraises gawking tourists from his leafy perch

Story from behind the lens: We'd spent most of the game drive searching for this cub and his mother. We were about to give up and search for other feline citizens of the Masai Mara when. our guide picked up some chatter on the radio and sped to this spot. The mother was watchful but aloof - doubtlessly, at many points in her life, she had endured the breathless chatter of hyper-excited photographers. But our arrival clearly sparked the cub's curiosity. He repeatedly adjusted his perch and gaze in order to get an unobstructed view of us. I would have given a lot to hear what he thought of the gaggle of photographers below.
