Story from behind the lens: On our first day on the Mara we came across a large pride of lions, we waited patiently throughout the afternoon hoping that this sleepy bunch would wake up and start interacting with each other. But before we know it the sun was starting to set. Just as we were starting to pull out and head back to camp, we noticed a young lion club yawning right next to the road. The sun had already set and I had to really push the limits of both my steady hands and the camera to get this low light shot.
