Description: Lions from the Topi pride watch a wild buffalo as it jumps into the water creating a splash amidst the grasslands of Masai Mara.
Story from behind the lens: There’s a famous idiom in Hindi that goes “gayi bhains paani mein” that literally translates to “buffalo has gone into the waters”, meaning that the situation has gotten out of control and there’s not much one can do. The eager lions of the topi pride might have felt the same when their prey decided to plop into the waters creating a splash. In the water it is stronger than the pride which curiously watches it to come out.
