Story from behind the lens: It was our last morning in the Mara before our afternoon flight to Nairobi. As we headed to our breakfast spot we came across a large clan of hyenas, some bloodied and covered in a rusty brown coating. Following the hyena, it didn’t take long to spot the hippo carcass. A male lion from the River Pride laid resting, belly full and breathing heavy. It was pure nature with hyena and jackal patiently waiting their turn with the carcass.
