Description: Olope (one of the Moniko pride males) strolling on a very misty morning in the Mara

Story from behind the lens: On our morning game drive, we were mesmerised at how different the Mara looked with the plains covered in a blanket of thick mist and felt like we were floating on a cloud.

With the sun barely out, we caught sight of Olope strolling through the mist. After scent marking a couple of bushes, he quickly disappeared in to the thickets giving us just a few minutes to admire his magnificence. John (our guide) mentioned that Olope was known to be intolerant of human presence and we were lucky to get a photo shoot with him in the mist.
