Description: Cheetah walking in the grassland of the Mara

Story from behind the lens: On our first afternoon drive in the Mara this year we were looking for the Topi Pride when late in the afternoon we came across this handsome cheetah, Ngao. When we first saw him he was just sitting, surveying the landscape. We were the only jeep there, which was lovely as we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Mara with Ngao for sometime. After a while he started to move and walked towards us, it was wonderful to see this graceful creature slowly walking through the long grass. I got down low in the jeep so that I could be on eye level with him and took this shot. I love the focus and concentration on his face.
