Description: The Hyena trying to eat out the last remaining’s of the wildebeest skull holding it vertically with the setting sun in background

Story from behind the lens: We were returning from the evening game safari in Masaai Mara when we saw the lone hyena carrying the wildebeest skull towards the horizon. Since it was also the evening golden light, I wanted to capture the moment with a silhouette touch to the whole sequence of it carrying the skull. I didn’t realized that the hyena not only gave the perfect moment with the dramatic cloud shining under the golden light of sun, but also made it very unique by holding the skull vertically with support from its front legs making it appear as the last kiss of the dead wildebeest.
