Story from behind the lens: Our first evening in the Mara, we came upon Osapuk as he relaxed in the grass before being joined by his brothers, Orkitok and Olepolos. It was late afternoon and there were storm clouds forming behind him. I took just this one image with my 70-200mm before we came closer and captured a million close ups. I do find him to be one of the most beautiful male lions, so while I cherish the close up portraits, I think I liked the wider angle shot, showing the drama of the storm clouds to be more impactful.
