Description: A female leopard dragging its kill up a tree.

Story from behind the lens: This image captures all the drama and excitement of a female leopard dragging her prey high into the tree. To watch her struggle with the heavy weight of the gazelle, then to stand proudly with her efforts was a great moment of an animals tenacity. I chose black and white to simplify the image into a more powerful statement to portray the juxtaposition of life and death, an every day occurrence here in the Mara.
