Story from behind the lens: We had come across this sighting where it was a honeymoon pair - Chongo & a lioness that were together. They were lounging in the open plains for some time but kept walking towards us and then stopping every few meters and sitting back down again. It was as if they had got tired from the few steps they took and needed a break. They'd get back up again and walk a few meters again and it was at this point that the lioness recognized our presence and gave us quite the fierce expression. It was as if we had just intruded on her otherwise very calm morning with no onlookers around. Eventually the pair headed for some shade into the thick bush and that was the last we saw of them for the morning.
