Description: A cheetah and her cub walking the plains of the Mara in the middle of the day, under the blazing sun.

Story from behind the lens: Little did we know that it would only be at the end of our chilly, and long morning of circling the savannah plains, when we would strike gold. As we drove up on the most beautiful landscape our guide, Moses, signaled ahead in excitement. At the edge of our seats, our eyes lit up with anticipation as we saw a mother cheetah and her two baby cubs strolling towards a stream to quench their thirst. Cheetah cubs are playful by nature, and photographing them has always been difficult as they constantly jump around. However, it is extremely rewarding when you do get shots of them. Here, the cheetah (named Nashipai) and her cub are in perfect tandem, the mother is walking her cub towards a brighter light.
