Story from behind the lens: On a rush to photograph a leopard climbing a tree, my guide Maitai spotted a trio of lionesses, gaining speed and walking in a haste toward our vehicle, he rushed to get a good angle for me to capture all three in a line, however this one, the leading lioness had my lens attention. She was so focused and determined, scanning the environment with authority, her eyes say it all, she elegantly strode through the green thick grass at a good speed, enabling me to capture this moment of her in her element. Soon after, these three lionesses led by this apex lioness hunted down a large eland on their own, showing their strength and determination.
