Story from behind the lens: I've wanted to get a shot like this for a long time, crowned cranes make such interesting photography subjects but the conditions have to be perfect. While the continuous rain throughout February made life a logistical nightmare it did provide the atmosphere needed for this shot - the mixture of falling rain, the motion of the crane shaking its feathers and its vibrant colouring completed the image
