Description: A lioness from the Ilkisiusiu pride in Naboisho shakes off the water from a heavy rain downpour

Story from behind the lens: Our first afternoon in Naboisho was rainy and wet, we had to leave covered in waterproof clothes and our guide had to take care on the muddy tracks. Our target for the afternoon, the Ilkisiusiu pride, which at the time counted roughly 40 members. The lions looked quite miserable in the heavy rain, and were huddling together to stay warm and dry. As the rain began to stop, all of the lions started to rouse, and to shake the water off.
