Description: A massive herd of wildebeest cross the Mara River in the early morning light creating incredible dust
Story from behind the lens: We timed our recent journey to the Mara Triangle to hopefully coincide with the mass movement north of the migration herds from Tanzania. One early morning we arrived at the Miti Moja crossing point to see numerous lines of wildebeests streaking down from Lookout Hill as the sun rose in the sky. Without much hesitation the mass herd charged across the river kicking up an immense dust cloud that was pierced with the sunshine breaking through from the East. Our guide found a fantastic position with the herds coming head on as dust billowed behind them and water kicked up from the river.
