Description: Nature symbolizes our lives. I lost my mother early this same day. This is symbolic of my dad searching the heavens awaiting my mom.

Story from behind the lens: I found out earlier in the day my mother had passed away. I decided I couldn't spend any more time in camp and decided I need to get out and find ways to understand her passing in nature. Earlier in the day as we moved camps, we found a leopard sleeping in a tree at peace. It was a chance sighting. My mother was a leopard. Independent, fierce and immensely capable. I knew she was safe and at peace. Later this same evening, we watched this lion looking across the plains and staring into the skies. For me, it brought me solace. To me, this lion was symbolic of my father searching and awaiting the first meeting with my mother in heaven reunited forever.
