Aperture: f2.8

Shutter speed: 1/8

ISO: 160

Description: Nykendu captured at a slower shutter speed as he moved up a hill to the open plains.

Story from behind the lens: The light was starting to fade when we came across one of the males from the Enkoyanai pride. Nyekundu was moving to cross a dry river bed towards the open plains. As we followed him, rather than shoot at high ISO, I decided to use slower shutter speed especially as I thought the grass & granite would add some interesting contrast to the images. Of all the frames that I this was my favourite as Nyekundu accelerated up the gulley. Even at a slower shutter speed you can see that this is a lion in his prime.
