Description: A male lion, proudly swaying his mane, whilst devouring a zebra. Patiently waiting, we stared at the lion, until he lifted the zebra's head. The brutality of the food chain is real! what a sighting!

Story from behind the lens: This was unlike any previous interaction! As we got closer, we noticed that this lion, along with four cubs and another male, had killed a zebra! This zebra was completely consumed by them! For over 4 hours, we sat and watched the circle of life unfold! I sat patiently till this lion raised the zebra head; it took this lion about two and a half hours to consume the remainder of the zebra before the head.

Then the strangest thing occurred! A group of zebras arrived to witness the lions devour their companion! Simply strange!

These lions could barely walk away once they finished feasting! The leftovers were then devoured by a lioness. Many jackals chased this lioness away! These jackals were extremely tenacious! After around 10 minutes, vultures flew in and chased the jackals away! It was incredible to witness! The jackals flew through the air, attempting to chase the vultures away; they even plucked out their feathers and held them in their teeth!

Then more jackals arrived, implying that the already present jackals fled, giving the vultures time to swoop in and steal the zebra's carcass!
