Description: Rays of sun blasting though the rain clouds, shinning down on a happy Elephant.

Story from behind the lens: It was the beginning of our trip at the Mara, we were enjoying the cloud formations when I noticed a herd of elephants off in the distance. Most herds were pretty tight together, but this group was kinda spread out throughout a large green pasture of grass. As I scanned over the plains and herd, I noticed an elephant near the horizon, tail was swinging around as if it were happy. As I adjusted my settings in the camera, I decided that a wider angle (to include the stormy looking clouds) would be the best. I knew this would make for a beautiful black and white photo, as the rays of sun were coming through the clouds, and the elephant was nicely silhouetted against what sky was showing. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, and almost just wanted to put the camera down and take it all in.
