Story from behind the lens: I spotted the pair hidden in the grasses, on our drive back to camp and happily yelled, from the back of the truck, 'See Mama' STOP! to Toby, our driver guide, friend, because that's what he told me to tell him, and he stops immediately!

The baby was shy, but curious seeing us, emboldened by his Mama who surrounded him in protection. The next few photo frames - Mama moved in front of baby, hiding him from view, as she brazenly stared us down, protecting her baby.
