Description: A herd of elephants graze peacefully in the heat of the afternoon.

Story from behind the lens: After a very active morning with lions, leopard and hunting cheetahs in which our adrenaline was also very high, things calm down. It gets warmer and warmer and we continue our search for other wildlife. We come to a herd of elephants foraging quietly. I try to take as low a viewpoint as possible so I can photograph these giants of the savannah in their natural habitat even better. They don't seem to care about our presence. A moment of connection overwhelms me, I feel so small next to these majestic creations, privileged to be here. The conversion to black and white further emphasizes the sense of calm, simplicity and peace. Still, the dramatic sky above them reminds me of the threat of these giants....
