Description: Four plains zebra cuddle up together in a zigzag of stripes.
Story from behind the lens: I am always impressed the way zebra intertwine themselves around each other for mutual fly-swatting and relaxing. Their calm composure and trust gave me a photograph opportunity I'd been hoping would happen for several years. I'm a big believer in giving wildlife the space they need to get comfortable with my presence especially when in a safari vehicle which can be loud and noisy. I park and I wait and I let the wildlife decide if I am welcome. In this case, the longer I stayed quietly shooting with my mirrorless gear, the more zebra joined the cuddle puddle of zigzags. What started out as a pair become two pairs and then the two pairs merged to form a foursome.
