Description: Male lion attempting to take a fresh kill from two lionesses.

Story from behind the lens: We came across two lionesses stalking and capturing a warthog. While one lioness held the warthog down by the neck, the other lioness started to eat the warthog while it was still alive. The screams of the poor little warthog, alerted a male lion in the distance. The male lion approached and tried to take the warthog away from the two lionesses. The one lioness wasn't gonna give it to him without a fight and she made it quite clear of that fact. The male lion won the confrontation, and he finally killed the screaming warthog and started his feast while the lionesses looked on.
