Description: Two zebras, a mother and a child, stand at attention as the sun dips below the horizon behind them.

Story from behind the lens: Racing to find an animal to photograph as the sun made its final descent, we stumbled upon a herd of zebras. Knowing that I wanted to silhouette them with the fiery sky in the background, I leaned out of the jeep to get as low as possible. At one point, with my guide's prompting, I laid on the grass to get the lowest angle possible. With the other zebras continuing to make their way across the savannah, these two stood still, carefully watching me take their photo.
