Description: Eagle & dik-dik
Story from behind the lens: After a rather unimpressed and boring morning, we decided to head back to camp and recharge before heading out again. On route, my guide spotted a fully grown Martial eagle just sitting on the side of the road. Surprised at how big these birds are up close, I pulled out my camera for a shot. The movement startled him and took flight. Much to our surprise, the eagle was clutching a baby dik-dik in its claws. We couldn't make out if the little guy was still alive or not, however, on return we saw the eagle had eaten parts of it.
