Description: Martial eagle versus Secretary bird

Story from behind the lens: We came across a martial eagle who had just caught a hare., so we stopped and watched it for a while hoping it would fly off with its kill. As the martial eagle was catching its breath, we noticed a secretary bird walking in its direction. To our surprise the secretary bird walked right up to the martial eagle and initiated a fight . The two birds were in combat for almost 5 minutes , the secretary bird was using its long legs to kick the martial eagle , who lay on its back most of the time as its defence. Eventually the secretary bird flew off, and after 15 minutes or so the martial eagle came back to the hare and dragged it away.
