Description: A beautiful female leopard paused in her descent of the tree and I was able to capture her looking straight ahead thanks to my guide's perfect positioning of the vehicle.

Story from behind the lens: I always feel blessed to see even a fleeting glimpse of a leopard, an abstract in the undergrowth: that undulating golden shimmer, the sun-dappled skin, the fish-belly white flash of a tail tip . So how magical it felt in this moment to see this female leopard in all her glory, perched on a branch surveying the landscape. She allowed us to spend quite some time observing her before making her descent to settle in for a grooming session and a snooze.
