Story from behind the lens: On our first night in the Mara, Ken guided us to this perfect shot just as the evening rains closed in on this mating pair. Almost an hour and more than a downpour later, the male made his advance as the rains slowed. Framed perfectly, he shook the rain from his mane as he rose and approached her. Unfortunately for him, we were more impressed than she was - the photos of his rejection are good too. As first timers in the Mara, my wife and I were just glad to have Ken as our guide and these two Lions to give us photos of a day we'll never forget.
