Description: The bloodied, scratched and scarred body of the Hippo looked like a map of its life. Its noble death after a brutal fight with another male provided a feast for a Lion pride.

Story from behind the lens: A large male Hippo collapsed and died when coming out of the river. Its bloodied, scratched and scarred body looked like a map of its life. The whole pride of Lions including the cubs came down to the river to eagerly feed. The excitement on the cubs faces was amazing, this was not just food but a great climbing frame to play on!
