Description: While drinking, he paused and looked me dead in the eyes
Story from behind the lens: One morning we came upon a small group of young lions. We watched them play and one by one go to drink. I wanted to get an image of the pink tongue touching the water and maybe a reflection. However, I was in the front row of the truck and from where I was there were grasses in my way for any type of clear shot. I knew I had to get something, and so I leaned way back. At that precise moment, he looked up at me and straight into my eyes. I had an incredible feeling of connection, and this was the Only image that I got of the encounter!
