Description: Two curious cubs of the Rekero pride learning to tear down a buffalo and feed themselves.

Story from behind the lens: We found the pride feeding on the buffalo surrounded by vehicles all around. As we waited for crowd to get thinner, I observed the struggles these cubs went through - being bullied by bigger members of the pride to their inability to open up the buffalo. Soon after, as the setting sun turned the sky orange and light soft, the cubs had the buffalo to themselves. The cubs explored every opening in the carcass and fed from it. In the process, they walked all over the buffalo, lost balance, slipped, played with each other and gave me this shot.
