Description: A sub-adult lion cub with a full stomach chasing away a black backed jackal.

Story from behind the lens: The Moniko pride had managed to bring down 2 wildebeest in the early morning and most of the pride had had their fill. Hyenas gathering a few metres away from the pride had kept this sub-adult's attention long enough for the jackal to get a few mouthfuls.

But as soon as the lion's attention returned to the kill, it spotted the jackal and made a half hearted attempt to chase it away. After a few minutes the cub walked away and the jackal returned with 2 other jackals following it.
