Description: Just as the sun was rising, we came upon Osapuk and his mates. Osapuk must be the most beautiful lion in all of Africa with his flowing mane and well chiseled face. It is hard not to fall in love.

Story from behind the lens: While it doesn't show in this image, Osapuk was badly injured in the night. He was limping and it looked as if his back leg bone might have been broken or dislodged. His brothers / mates were helping him. If you have any news of him, I'd be interested to know. I sincerely hope he recovered and would love to see him again soon. He is such a great beauty!
