Story from behind the lens: So many things bring us back to the Maasai Mara time and time again- amazing locals filled with generosity, the unique wildlife often found nowhere else on the planet, beautiful wide open spaces, the multiple weather patterns as you turn your head. As we passed by Burungat Plain I saw an amazing pool of light as it interacted with streaming rain. It was incredible guiding and vehicle positioning by Andrew Kiio that allowed me to shoot the iconic East African Ostrich, one of the largest birds in the world, in this incredible setting.
