Description: A female leopard walks in tall grass with her tail held high as indication to all prey she is only passing through and not hunting.
Story from behind the lens: I was positioned in a doors-off safari vehicle while my guide placed our vehicle at a respectable distance from a female leopard crossing the grassy plain. It was my fervent hope she would walk forward on her current trajectory rather than swerve to the right or left. I began shooting intermittently as she approached to be sure to have images that captured the special experience just in case she veered away. She was focused on a rocky area with low lying shrubs behind me and to my right so the vehicle was positioned for that angle in the anticipation she would head that way. To my joy, she stayed on that path and I was able to capture this special moment of her.
