Description: One of Nashipae's young cubs looks off to the right while his mother passes behind him to the left.
Story from behind the lens: It was such a joy to be able to spend a little time with Nashipae and her four young cubs. I'd never seen cheetah cubs this small. In this image, I loved the juxtaposition of mother behind her cubs and how this little one's gaze makes me think of hope for the future. And I am hoping (I know beyond odds) that all these four cubs make it to adulthood and can help increase the Cheetah population in the Mara.
