Description: The sun hadn't yet come out when we came upon Orkitok, but there was just enough light to illuminate his eyes as he looked to the heavens with his pupils not yet dilated.

Story from behind the lens: It was so early and still dark, and I prayed I could capture the beauty of this scene as Orkitok walked along the road beside us. I was thankful to have a 2.8 lens and even so had to shoot at low shutter speed and high ISO. I loved the dreamy quality the wide open aperture gave this scene and I think it adds to the almost spiritual look in his eyes.
