Description: Two young male Giraffes practice some low impact necking in an elegant manner.

Story from behind the lens: We decided to give up our search for a leopard near the river. There were too many vehicles doing the same thing so we decided to cross back over and search for something else. Near the rivers edge we saw two giraffes necking. It was more of a dance as it was obvious they were not looking to hurt one another. We pulled over and just watched with awe as they moved their necks in such a slow and elegant manner. Pretty soon we noticed that all the vehicles that had been searching for the leopard had also come to watch this beautiful display. I love the cats too, but sometimes it's these unexpected gifts of nature that really touch the soul.
