Description: An intimate interaction between an adult male lion and his cub

Story from behind the lens: We located this pride in the late afternoon. Two adult male lions were presiding over 14 cubs. No females were to be found. For the most part, this adult male showed a reasonable amount of patience as the cubs climbed over him and chewed on his mane. In this photo, a cub looks "respectfully" at the King.
