Story from behind the lens: This photo was taken during my last hours of my trip to the Masai Mara . With great luck we found this lioness in heat, prompting the lion to separate from the rest of the pride to mate. We know that mating can last for days and we just saw the start of the action. Despite the aggressiveness and toughness that the lion transmits, the lioness continued for hours constantly looking for the encounter with this male.
