Story from behind the lens: We came across the Enkoyanai pride one morning just as they were moving away from their kill & into nearby bushes to rest. The early morning golden light was glorious, so I looked for backlit opportunities with some of the lions. When this young male sub adult stopped for a moment I focused on him & I love that you can also see his breath rising in this image.
