Description: A foggy morning sunrise in the Masai Mara.
Story from behind the lens: Key to an awesome sunrise or sunset photo is having a distinctive foreground or an identifiable shape which makes a good silhouette and shows some sense of place. It could be as simple as a tree or a safari vehicle an animal or better yet all three. Remember the sun doesn't even always need to be in the frame and unique atmospheric conditions such as clouds, fog, dust or smoke can make a killer shot. One of my favorite and easiest spots in the Masai Mara is just as you leave the Governors Camps on an early morning game drive. Best to head out in the dark before sunrise find your spot and wait for the magic to happen.
